MATT GARDINER
Director, The Practice Sydney office
Having long admired The Practice from afar, and known co-founders Robert Hadded and Jason Cunningham for many years, Matt jumped at the chance to head up The Practice’s first footprint outside of Melbourne.
Previously a Director at HLB Mann Judd in Sydney, Matt was attracted to the challenge of establishing the Sydney office of The Practice, and excited to finally get to work with Jay and Rob and experience first-hand the high-performance culture they have developed.
When Matt heard The Practice’s ‘why’ – “Liberating people’s lifestyles” – he immediately knew the firm’s values and philosophies aligned with his own, and that this would be a fruitful partnership. It resonated with him personally, and he was excited to bring the concept to life for his clients.
The Practice Sydney is focused on living the mission statement Jason and Rob developed over 20 years ago, but that’s just as applicable today: “To help our clients achieve their business and personal goals through proactive service and ongoing advice.”
Matt’s driving force is helping clients adapt to the rapidly changing landscape, so they are able to capitalise on opportunities as they arise. Ultimately, our clients measure success by financial results. But it’s the underlying factors that drive results: sound strategy, leadership, collaboration, innovation, and people development. It’s Matt’s job to help them understand their unique drivers of success, so they can navigate the challenges and achieve their desired results.
Matt’s approach is underpinned by a commitment to strong relationship management at all levels, and continual communication. He has a passion for unlocking the human potential of our team, and for fostering a culture of strong internal collaboration that delivers exceptional results for clients.
His one character flaw is supporting the Parramatta Eels, but you can’t win them all (as any Eels supporter well knows).
