Last week’s announcement that the JobKeeper scheme would be extended for a further six months was welcome news to many.
Over nine-hundred-thousand employers have nominated some three-and-a-half million employees to take part since the scheme was launched in March.
While the initial period still has a couple of months to run, until September 28th, and it’s hoped that fewer businesses will need the assistance of JobKeeper 2.0, the scheme will continue until March 28th, 2021.
There are, however, some changes to both the assessment criteria around eligibility and the amount that employers will be reimbursed for each eligible employee.
